Baume & Mercier can trace it's watchmaking roots back to 1830 when brothers, Louis Victor Baume and Pierre Joseph Celestin Baume formed the Societe Baume Freres. The business continued to flourish, and in 1918 William Baume, the grandson of Louis Victor and watchmaker Paul Mercier became business partners. In 1921, Baumer & Mercier was awarded the prestigious Geneva Seal. Since then Baume & Mercier has continued to combine the finest in Swiss watchmaking tradition with the latest innovation.
